Meet The Team

Little Blue Society was founded in 1999 by Mary A. Paglieri, who coined the phrase
Human-Animal Conflict, which is now widely used, also as the acronym "HAC,"  by many renowned scientists studying this growing phenomena throughout the world.

Our Senior staff members frequently speak at wildlife management forums and have addressed such audiences as the Northern California Woolgrowers Association, the National Interpreters Association, the California State Fish and Game Department, the Federal Fish and Wildlife Services, the United States Agricultural Department, and the World Ethics Forum, Switzerland. We give expert testimony to governmental commissions and advisory boards.

Members of our Senior Staff have also been involved in numerous  wildlife studies, including blacktail deer, wild pigs and wild turkeys, and played a role in the reintroduction of Tule Elk nd Pronghorn Antelope to the Mt. Hamilton range.  They have also worked with the CA Department of Fish and Game and other agencies on surveillance of wildlife diseases, conservation planning, and a wide variety of other wildlife issues. They have also worked with youth outdoor, educational programs and college environmental programs.
