PROJECT AMAZON - SAVING THE AMAZON RAIN FOREST

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

PROJECT AMAZON - The 5-year Action Plan

Little Blue Society believes that by leaving the Amazon Rainforest intact and harvesting its renewable resources e.g. fruits, oil-producing plants, nuts and medicinal plants, that it would create a new industry and a source of income, making the Rainforest more economically valuable alive than cut and burned.

For Example:  The latest statistics show that rainforest land converted to cattle operations yields the land owner $60 per acre.  And if timber is harvested, the land is worth $400 per acre. However, if renewable and sustainable resources are harvested, the land will yield the land owner $2,400 per acre.

If managed properly, the Rainforest can provide the world's need for its natural resources on a perpetual basis.

PROJECT AMAZON

  • Focuses on raising ecological awareness.
  • Encourages international support and involvement (the survival of Humankind hinges on how this magnificent resource is managed).
  • Helps to build a new Industry/Market for the Rainforest's renewable resources.
  • Supports the native economy.
  • Provides a win-win solution; an alternative to clear-cutting the Rainforest, which is taking a devasting toll on the planet and our ability to survive.

Together, we can make a difference.  Become a Project Amazon Team Member TODAY .  We can't do it without YOU!

You will receive a bi-annual e-newsletter giving you an update of our progress.  100% of your contribution to this Project goes directly to the implementation of the Project.  We are an all volunteer staff.
