Our
Mission is to create an appreciation for
the interdependence of human and animal life in a sustainable
world, and to facilitate mutually beneficial human and animal
interaction, especially in urban, rural and marine
environments.
We are dedicated to the recognition of environmental sustainability as the fundamental tenant of an enlightened public interest. Toward that end, we are committed to the following specific programs:
1. To establish upon the part of each of us a sense of personal responsibility for the preservation of the world wide ecosystem, upon which we all depend for life itself.
2. To further the application of scientific research in finding intelligent short and long-term solutions for the joint use of resources and habitat by humans and animals.
3. To establish and implement educational programs that promote environmental/ecological stewardship.
4. To improve coordination among non-governmental organizations and public trust agencies and to provide expertise, guidance and leadership, especially to state, federal, and local agencies responsible for environmental accountability.
